Frem Group Screens

Frem Group Screens is one of the three manufacturing sites of the Frem Group based in Haverhill. In 2018 LazenbyIT was asked to review the manufacturing and accountancy software and systems for fit for purpose and stability as the company was seeking to grow.

As a result of the review, upgrading the system to the latest application versions was deemed feasible but would require new servers to cope with an integrated domain and SQL database solution. LazenbyIT worked with the software and application support teams to develop the solution, project manage the implementation, testing process and final migration to the new solution. Although a significant investment, the solution will allow the business to grow and fulfil new orders in to the future.

Having completed the migration, the business needed to grow the facilities and decided to migrate to a new factory. LazenbyIT worked with local electricians to implement a new network in the offices and the factory with fibre cabling to link the two. Integrate the new CNC system and provide seamless wireless networking across the site.

Through the process LazenbyIT managed the take over of the existing broadband, adding temporary internet and the migration of the leased line from the old factory to the new site. Developing a new computer room and structured cabling to enabling the teams to move smoothly over to the new factory with state-of-the-art desks for sitting and standing.

Techair is a leading global manufacturer of laptop bags and tablet cases.

LazenbyIT provides a complete IT Managed Service including networks, VoIP telephony, internet broadband circuits, windows servers, desktops and laptops, IT and cyber security protection and online secure cloud backup services. LazenbyIT assisted in migrating older technology from expensive data centre systems to function on in-house servers to reduce costs.

LazenbyIT is also assisting the company migrate to new cloud-based solutions, planning to migrate from Google to Office 365 and Servers to SharePoint solutions that help an internationally based organisation collaborate more effectively and work through covid.

During Covid LazenbyIT has provided a remote configuration service of refurbished laptops to assist with cost effective home working during lockdown.
