Frem Group

Frem Group is a leading manufacturer of contemporary and bespoke office furniture solutions, located in Northampton, Wakefield, Rotherham, Royston, and London.

Initially LazenbyIT was asked to make a satellite internet system work to provide faster internet for the HQ in Northampton. After successfully resolving the internet Frem Group asked us to resolve server and domain issues. LazenbyIT now provides a proactive managed service to multiple business units within the group.

LazenbyIT has systematically assisted the business to replace ageing equipment, upgrade software, enhance security and reduce downtime. LazenbyIT delivers this through correct advice and proactive replacement strategies where the performance of staff has been enhanced,  productivity increased, staff moral improved and keeping staff numbers down.

Cybercrime is a growing threat to businesses, so security training and advice for the financial team has been vital in preventing criminal Cyberattacks. Stopping the redirection of client payments, resolving phishing attacks and protecting the business from fraud and fraudsters.

LazenbyIT also manages the servers, backup and updating of Sage 50 accounts, P11D, payroll across the group to ensure the financial team are on the latest versions, minimising downtime and maximising productivity.

In 2024 a secure MPLS network linking all the sites together and utilising a high performance FWaaS 24/7 managed firewall service to enhance security and level of protection for the group was implemented.

In 2025 a full business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) solution was implemented for the servers in two locations, local backup provides backup of files every 15 minutes and upload to an external data centre offers complete end to end Disaster Recovery, protecting all the core information, with recover times of one or all servers within 30 minutes on site or from the data centre, maintaining service to staff and the factories to keep working.
