Cumulus Consultants

Cumulus Consultants is a small, independent company with a strong track record in research, consultancy and advice in the land and environment sector.

We are a highly experienced, multi-disciplinary team including individual specialists and expert project managers.

Our focus is on delivering what our clients want and providing a high-quality personal service, whether this be for a one-off project or an ongoing business relationship.

Cumulus was established by Paul Silcock and Clare Lovegrove in 2004, and since then we have completed over 200 projects for clients in the public, private and voluntary sectors, as well as providing advice to farmers and landowners across the country.

LazenbyIT began helping Cumulus Consultants with advice on CRM solutions and helped them move into their new office back in 2015. Since then LazenbyIT has migrated email to office 365, data storage from NAS to SharePoint with cloud backup protection for their data.

LazenbyIT has helped design the SharePoint solution to improve collaboration and productivity, to work with the internal staff, the associates across the country and share project information securely with clients.

LazenbyIT provided templates and advice to develop a business continuity plan for the business

LazenbyIT assisted with the GDPR and IASME Cyber Essentials certification of the business, during the preparation for the initial audit the mitigation of the original risk level from 63% down to 38% and after the above migration to the cloud, full disk encryption of all computers, cyber security and management of accounts the latest audit identified the risk level is at under 20%.

Beacon

Beacon evolved from a service offered by Age UK Oxfordshire. In 2014 we became a UK-wide social enterprise, with our profits donated to charity for older peoples’ services.

We are the only Continuing Healthcare support service that is endorsed by Age UK, Parkinson’s UK, the Spinal Injuries Association and EAC FirstStop.

For more than a decade, our team of specialist caseworkers have fought for people trying to navigate the maze of NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding.

CHC is a complex area. That is why our expert team of advisers and caseworkers are all highly trained professionals who work solely in this area. With Beacon you will receive an exceptional, bespoke, values-led service, unrivalled by law firms working in this area. We will get to know you or your loved one because, in our experience, a deep understanding of the person and their care needs is key to achieving a fair and accurate funding assessment.

It is our unique approach that is enabled us to recover over £10million for our clients, and overturned funding decisions in around two thirds of appeal cases.

LazenbyIT was introduced to help the business during covid lockdown, to regain control of their computers, so that they could update applications, apply windows update while maintaining IASME Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

LazenbyIT also replaced the partially non-working antivirus application with ESET Endpoint Security, provided remote access support for the management team as well as enhance their IT support with proactive managed services.

All this work was carried out remotely due to lockdown restrictions but enabled the team to continue to work collaboratively and effectively to continue helping their clients.
